Marva Lynn Murphy Daniels

Marva Lynn Murphy Daniels, 79, of Bertram, Texas, passed from this earthly life on Saturday March 2, 2024. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10:00 am Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Trinity Memorial Park with Randy Cotton officiating.

Marva – Mammy, to her family – was born June 27, 1944 to Marvin & Helen Murphy at Midland Army Airfield, Texas. She married Preston Daniels Sr. February 12, 1960. They shared a storybook love, and were married 64 years at the time of her passing.

Marva worked for Malone & Hogan Clinic in Big Spring for over 30 years in the medical records department. When she retired, she and Preston travelled extensively. They visited 3 foreign countries and 44 of the 50 states. They raised three children and have enjoyed a passel of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marva was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Peggy McCarty, and 3 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Preston Sr., daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Thomas Savell of Bertram, son and daughter-in-law Preston Jr. and Dawn Daniels of Kempner, and son and daughter-in-law Richard and Raylene Daniels of Lubbock, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and her brother Mike Murphy of Big Spring.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ty Savell, Chris Daniels, Joshua Daniels, Chance Daniels and great-grandsons Treysen Daniels and Ayden Daniels.
