Martha Frances Leysath, 88, recently of Copper Lake Assisted Living in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, died on Sunday, October 25, 2009. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the Mt. Olive Memorial Park Chapel in Big Spring with Rev. Calvary Callender, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene, officiating.She was born on January 25, 1921 in Ennis, Texas to John Robertson Leysath and Marcia (Ross) Leysath.Later, the family moved to Big Spring where her younger sister Betty was born. Martha lived most of her life in Big Springuntil moving to Cimarron House Assisted Living in Midland, Texas in 2005.Martha worked in Washington, DC during World War II, later returning to Big Spring where she worked for many years at Webb Air Force Baseas an office worker and the Veterans' Hospital in the Food Service Department. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Big Spring.Martha always enjoyed news of her niece and nephews' families along with TV news and religious programs.Lately,the Food and Travel Channels and Animal Planet were her favorite pastimes.She is survived by her niece, Marsha (Stark) Krenek and husband, Harry of Rockport;nephews, Ralph R. Stark and wife, Diane of Midland andJohn R. Stark and wife, Carla of Oklahoma City; seven great nieces and nephews and a great-great nephew and niece.She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Mae (Leysath) Stark, and her brother-in-law, Ralph E.
