Martha Christine Parker, 67, of Stanton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 22, 2002 in a Midland hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 26, 2002 at First Baptist Church with Rev. David Harp, pastor, officiating and Rev. Dennis Teeters, pastor of First Baptist Church, Big Spring assisting. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. She was born on July 9, 1935 in Houston, Texas and married Nolan O. Parker on December 25, 1960 in Amherst, Texas. Martha graduated with a Bachelors Degree in 1956 from Wayland Baptist University at Plainview, Texas. She was a first grade teacher in rural schools near Lamesa, Union, Spade and Dell City. She had worked in the Martin County Clerk's office in Stanton for sixteen years. Martha was a christian first and a gentle loving mother, grandmother and wife and lived by the Golden Rule. She was loved by all who knew her. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Nolan O. Parker of Stanton, two sons, John Parker of Huntsville, Alabama and Louis Parker of Reno, Nevada; four grandsons, Caleb Parker, Joshua Parker, and Nathan Parker all of Reno, Nevada and Kevin Parker of Stephenville; two brothers, James Rankin of Amarillo and Stephen Parker of Wortsboro, New York.
