Interment will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 3:30 PM in Seminole.Floyd was born on December 11, 1922 to Mary Louella and Isaac Bales in Idalou, TX. He served as a tank destroyer commander in World War II. He married the true love of his life, Sue Bales, and raised his family in Denver City. He was a truck driver for several trucking companies before retiring from Vulcan Materials Company. He moved to Midland in 1995. He loved His God, wife, and family. He is finally home.He is survived by his wife, Sue Bales of Midland, TX; son Morris Bales and wife Ellen of Fischer, TX; son, Donald Bales and wife Clara of Midland, TX; son, Earl Bales and wife Loretta of Neosho, MO; daughter, Sue Ann Locke and husband Tony of Midland, TX; daughter, Sharon Campbell and husband Ken of Big Lake, TX; daughter, Carol Bradley and husband Stephen of Calgary, Canada; 13 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters, and granddaughter, Kim Bales.Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Midland, PO Box 2621, Midland, TX, 79702 and Meals on Wheels, 3301 Sinclair Avenue, Midland, TX, 79707.,
