Mark Nairn, 44, of Troup, formerly of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, April 2, 2002, near Tyler, Texas, from injuries received in an auto accident. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 6, 2002, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Walter McCall, Chaplain with Odyssey Hospice, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. Mark was born on June 27, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of the NRA and the Western Sportsman Club. He was an avid gun enthusiast, an excellent wood carver and knife maker. He loved his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Survivors include his wife, Pam Nairn of Troup; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Melissa Nairn of Big Spring; his parents, Theodore and Nora Nairn of Big Spring; his grandchildren, Tyler and Ali of Big Spring; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Sheila Nairn of Monticello, Indiana, and Jeff and Lea Ann Nairn of Friendswood; one sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Andy Duke of Colorado City; his grandmother, Juanita Nairn of Kansas City, Missouri; two nieces, Amy Duke and Valerie Nairn; four nephews, Josef and Steven Nairn, and Eric and Adam Duke; his aunts and uncles, Jay and Gala Clark, and Leo and Jane Nairn.
