Mark Andrew Hanson, 56, of Big Spring, Texas, passed away quietly at home surrounded by family on March 17, 2026. He was born on November 11, 1969, in Big Spring, Texas. He will lie in state from 9am to 9pm on Friday March 20th, 2026, at Nalley Pickle and Welch Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm Friday, 20th of March 2026.
Mark was a man known for his wild spirit, big heart, and the way he lived life to the fullest. He brought energy and laughter wherever he went, leaving behind memories that will never fade. Above all, he loved deeply—especially his family and his beloved dog, who was always by his side.
Mark is survived by his father, Gary and Kayla Hanson; his mother, Carol Schaefer; his sister, Janna Hanson-Hill and husband Matt Hill of Kennard, their children, Riley and Tiffany Floyd of Conroe, Taylor Goeble and girls of Pennington; his brother, Mike Hanson of Big Spring and sons Trevor Yates, Tylor Hanson, and Jarod Hanson of Grapeland; He also leaves behind his daughter Azure Farmer of Big Spring, grandchildren Leiora Paxton; Joseph Andrew Yanez; Jaelei Farmer and Daysen Farmer, Step-daughter Megan Miller and son Jordan, and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard and Mary Helen Hanson of Big Spring, Jasper and Mildred Gibson of Coahoma, Terry Hanson of Big Spring, Larry Schaeffer of Palestine.
Mark’s life was a reminder to live boldly, love fiercely, and cherish every moment. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the stories, laughter, and love he leaves behind.
