Marjorie Lee Parrish, 90 of Midland, Texas passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024. Marjorie was born to Orie T. Price and Hazel Hagan on January 8, 1934 in Nowata, OK. Marjorie married her high school sweetheart, Buford E. Parrish on June 19, 1951. She and Buford moved to Midland, Tx in 1971 where she worked in the oilfield industry as an Administrative Assistant and bookkeeper. She retired from Big D Equipment in 1999 and later worked part-time for Hospice of Midland.
Marjorie loved to cook and would have “Sunday Dinner” for the entire family nearly every Sunday. She and Buford attended numerous Grandchildren’s sporting events, dance recitals and took several family cruises to the Caribbean. On June 19, 2001 Marjorie and Buford celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Royal Caribbean renewing their vows at a special ceremony with all of the family present.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Buford of 66 years, parents, Orie and Hazel Price, sister Jeanette Sneed, sister Mary Ballard, and brother Charles Ray Price.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Schultz husband Doug of Midland and Debbie Clodfelter of Dallas Texas; five grandchildren, Brian Quinonez wife Ramona; MaryBeth Turner husband Dustin; Kylie Roman husband Johnathan; Jacob Clodfelter, Eric Clodfelter wife Wendy, 13 Great Grandchildren all of Midland; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the entire staff at Ashton Medical Lodge and Hospice of Midland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, Ashton Medical Lodge of Midland, Hospice of Midland or the charity of their choice in Marjorie’s memory.
The family is having a private ceremony to celebrate their Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
