Marjorie Gladys Rives Hughes (Nana), 71, of Midland, Texas passed away on December 7, 2014. The family will be having a graveside service at Robert Lee Cemetery in Robert Lee, Texas on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 11:00am.Marjorie was born on December 13, 1942 in San Angelo, Texas to Thomas Edward and Thelma Rives. She was the loving mother to her children, Steven Miller and Cindy Hughes. She and her husband, James Hughes, shared 21 wonderful years together before her passing. Marjorie loved online shopping, especially when it involved shoes, purses, or jewelry. She loved great salsa, Mexican food, and Coca-Cola. She could always tell you who had the best salsa in town. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and always put everyone else’s needs before her own. 50 years of her life was shared with various oil companies where she worked as an accountant. Marjorie was great with numbers and truly excelled at every task handed to her at work. She had the biggest heart, was very caring, had a great sense of humor, loved helping others, and she absolutely loved life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.She is survived by her husband, James Hughes; son, Steven Miller and wife, Shelli; grandson, Austin Miller and wife, Erin; granddaughter, Amy Carver and husband, Carey; daughter, Cindy Hughes; grandsons, Jerry Hunt, Teija Barron, Daniel Barron, Pete Ballez, and Kenneth Mansell; granddaughter, Elisha Lopez; and a host of great-grandchildren.Her parents, Thomas and Thelma Rives, precede her in death.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart and Lung Association. ,
