Marivel Christina Perez, age 46, relocated to Heaven from Austin, surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, September 3, 2021. She was born on March 2, 1975 in Midland, Texas to Ygnacio Subia and Christina (Vasquez) Subia. Marivel graduated from Lee High School in 1993 and went on to receive her Doctorates from Parker University in Dallas with a PHD in Chiropractic on April 13, 2001 and later receiving a Master’s degree in MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Samford University in 2013. She pursued her career in orthopedic and pain management as a Nurse Practitioner and at Midland Memorial Hospital in the E.R.
On August 4, 2017, she married Miguel Perez. Together, we traveled on countless cruises, went on multiple nature adventures, and started a weight-loss business in Austin. Marivel started a non-profit business where her mission was to help educate people on how to live healthier lives.
Marivel enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Marivel was a great child of GOD where she healed those around her spiritually, physically, and mentally. She loved everyone as if they were her own family; Marivel never met a stranger. Her genuine love for others radiated into any environment she was in…bringing light and life to those around her. Marivel’s special passion were children, which included playing and comforting any child who came in her path even if it meant crawling into a tight spot where only a child could fit. She was always thoughtful and put everyone else first before herself. Her loving persona will always be remembered through the genuine hugs she always gave and the happy kind caring spirit she always had.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 4 years, Miguel Perez; parents, Ygnacio Subia Jr., Christina Subia; 2 siblings, Marissa (husband – Sean Olgin), Ygnacio Subia III (brother); 8 nieces and nephews, Isabella Subia, Isaiah Subia, Christian Subia, Melanie Olgin, Sean Olgin, Annalisa Olgin, Joseph Perez, Adanely Perez; in-laws, David Freeman (wife – Delfina Freeman), Marco Perez (father-in-law), Marco Perez Jr. (brother-in-law), Melidia Perez (sister-in-law), Moises Perez (brother-in-law); 11 aunts and uncles; and many cousins.
