*Media Obituary*Mario A. Guerrero, 53, of Midland, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2004, at the HospiceMidland Inpatient Unit of Midland Memorial Hospital. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Midland with Rev. James Bridges, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. A Rosary service will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 7:00 P.M. at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 3800 N. Big Spring in Midland.Mario was born in Alice, Texas on February 10, 1951 to Concepcion Guerrero and Estela Salinas Guerrero. He was raised in Hebbronville and graduated High School there. While in High School, Mario excelled in Football and Baseball. He was also very proficient in his academic work. He was honored his senior year as the Homecoming King. He attended Texas A & I University and also the University of Houston. Mario married Angelita Martinez on June 7, 1980 in Hebbronville, Texas. On his wedding day, he told his soon-to-be wife that he was marrying the love of his life. He excelled most at being a wonderful father and husband. He was a doting father who had great pride for all of his children. Mario loved to ride his Harley, and he was an avid hunter and lover of the outdoors. He was greatly loved and respected by all of his friends and coworkers. Mario was a very quiet and gentle man who also possessed a wonderful sense of humor. Mario worked for ExxonMobil for over 25 years.He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Angie of Midland, his mother, Estela Guerrero of Hebbronville, six children: Bernadette Guerrero of Spring, TX, Rey and wife Lorie Reyes of El Paso, TX, Alicia and husband Shawn Anger of Lubbock, TX, Israel Reyes of Midland, Mario Jr. and wife LeeAnn Guerrero, of Lubbock, and Joey Guerrero of Lubbock, four grandchildren, Tyler Collard, Nikki Collard, Zachary Anger, and Ethan Mario Guerrero. He is further survived by three brothers, Joe and wife Diana Guerrero of Friendswood, TX, Alan and wife Yolanda Guerrero of Houston, Hector and wife Elvia Guerrero of Pearland, TX, two sisters: Gloria and husband Arnoldo Garza of Hebbronville, TX and Anna and husband Juan Sanchez of Houston, Tx. Mario was preceded in death by his father, Concepcion Guerrero. The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Midland, 911 W.
