Marilynn Weaver, a long-time Midland resident, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on March 12, 2016. A loving wife and mother of five children, she was 93 years old. A private memorial service was held on Saturday, March 19, 2016.Marilynn was born in Texas to Ernest King and Frances McClintock. She grew up in California and El Paso, the youngest of five and the only girl. After high school, she attended the Texas School of Mines and Metallurgy, where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. After attending college, Marilynn moved to San Francisco to join the San Francisco Opera Company. She returned to El Paso to marry William Weaver, Sr. when he was discharged from the Navy after WWII. Later they moved to California, Utah, Illinois and back to Texas. During her lifetime, she was an Opera Singer, radio singer, a Volunteer Nurse during the war, a realtor and a News Director at a local radio station, KNFM-KNAM, working with Max Lloyd and Mike McLaren. She was also a member of the Symphony Corral of Midland, the Musicians Club and performed in many musicals and plays at the Midland Community Theatre, including The Sound of Music, Fidler on the Roof, Arsenic and Old Lace, Harvey, God’s Favorite and many more.She was predeceased by her husband, William Weaver, Sr., son, William Weaver, Jr., daughter, Melanie Weaver and granddaughter, Erin Faulk.She is survived by her daughters Kathy Weaver Faulk (Stephen), Neena Weaver Tefteller (Ron) and Kimberley Weaver; grandchildren, Lindsay Faulk Mathre, Megan Faulk McCauley, Katelynn Faulk; Erik Tefteller, Sean Tefteller, Patrick Tefteller; Jarrod Fausett, Maranda Fausett Narlock, Ben Fausett; Sarah Weaver and Emilee Weaver. Great grandchildren are Thorsten Mathre, Erica and Aaron Fausett, Zachary, Natalie and Brooklynn Narlock.Her family would like to thank Theresa Scott for her loving care, as well as Grace, Paula, Terry and many others who helped with Marilynn’s final care.Memorial gifts may be made to Midland Community Theatre 2000 W Wadley Ave, Midland, TX 79705 and Hospice of Midland P.O.
