Marilyn A. Vise James, 63, of Big Spring, Texas passed from this life on October 2, 2016. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Homer and Marillus (Babe) Vise. Marilyn attended Valencia and Granada Elementary schools and graduated from Alhambra High School. At the age of 21, she moved to North Pole, Alaska where she married her husband of 40 years, Frank James. They resided there full time until 2005 when they decided to relocate to the lower 48, dividing their time between New England, ND and Big Spring, TX.By the time, she had a huge following. You see, Marilyn's hobby was collecting friends and sharing their lives. A simple \hello\ was all it took to start a relationship that would continue the remainder of her life. She faithfully reached out to her friends and their families, remembering anniversaries, birthdays, special occasions, and just saying, \Hi, I'm thinking about you.\ She created such special bonds with her friends that they came from across the states, in addition to other counties, and never failed to stop wherever she was and pay a visit. Everyone was always welcomed with a big smile, a hug, and at least a couple of good laughs. She never met a stranger. The loss will be felt around the world.Marilyn was a member and most recently attended the Temple Baptist Church.Marilyn is survived by her husband, Frank James, Big Spring, TX; her brother, Don Vise, Phoenix, AZ; David James (Moya), Northway, AK; Helen Venne, Tok, AK; Bea Hansen, Tok, AK; Walter James (Mary), Congress, AZ; Flo Schmoll, Sun City, AZ; Kenny James, Tok, AK; Ed James, Tok, AK; John James, Camp Douglas, WI; nieces, nephews, cousins, and more friends than imaginable.Marilyn has chosen cremation with no services.
