Maria Guadalupe (Alvarado) Navarez, 67, of Midland passed away October 10, 2018 in Midland, Texas.Maria was born on September 13, 1951 in Sweetwater, Texas to Enes \Sundown\ and Pauline Alvarado. Maria attended school in Midland and married her high school sweetheart, Tony Navarez, in 1970. Tony and Maria were married for 22 years and had 2 children; Mark and Catherine. Maria worked in the oil and gas industry the majority of her life, devoting many years to Drilco and most recently, Oneok.Maria was always a \people person\ making friends wherever she went, as she never knew a stranger. Maria had a heart the size of Texas and would do anything for anyone during a time of need. Her home was always open and there was no sacrifice too big for Maria. Maria loved her Denver Broncos and she never turned down an invite to spend a Sunday with her friends (second family) at The Detour.Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Enes and Pauline Alvarado and granddaughter-in-law, Marissa Garza.Maria is survived by her son, Mark (Jennifer); daughter, Catherine (Jim); brothers, Ed \Lalo\ Alvarado (Sherri) & Edward Alvarado, Jr. (Michelle); 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.The family would like to express their sincere gratitude towards Home Hospice of Midland & Staff, Mr. Kent and staff at The Kent Company & Mr. Payroll, neighbor and dear friend; Ryan Mobly, Dorothy Hunt, and the countless relatives and friends that contributed so much to the family during this time.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
