Maria Del Refugio Rios Luna, 64, of Boquillas, Coahuila Mexico passed away on Saturday April 5, 2025 at Midland Memorial Hospital.  She was born on July 4, 1960, to Francisco Rios and Paula Diaz.

Maria knew the man who was to be the love of her life, David Fulgencio Luna, growing up in the same hometown in Mexico.  With charisma and love notes, David swept her off her feet and they began their life together in 1975.  Throughout their 49 years of marriage, they accomplished many things together, starting with creating a beautiful loving family.  The world lost a great woman with the passing of Maria Del Refugio Luna.  Those of us left behind will forever cherish her memories, her laughter, her cooking, but most importantly the impact she caused in each and every one of our lives.

Maria is survived by her husband, David Fulgencio Luna; daughters, Sulema Luna, Brenda Luna, Liliana Luna; son, David Luna, Jr.; daughter, Isela Luna; son, Adam Luna; siblings Elpidea Rios, Domingo Rios, Jose Rios, Epifania Rios, Octaviano Rios, Audelia Rios; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Maria is preceded in death by siblings Irene Rubio, Andrea Rubio, Placio Rubio and grand child Marc Anthony Luna.

The family would like to express their gratitude to hospice, Midland Memorial Hospital and staff.
