Maria Linda Vera, 54, of Stanton, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012, in Stanton. Funeral services were held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Bautista Calvario Church in Stanton with Martin Ortega, Sr., officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery. The family received friends from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Friday, December 21, 2012 at Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton. Maria was born April 19, 1958, in Stanton and she lived her life in Big Spring and Ackerly. Survivors include sister, Soila Sally V. Ochoa of Midland/Greenwood; brothers, Jose Vera of Welch, TX and Marcelo Vera of Big Spring; niece, Silvia Ochoa-Gamboa; nephews, Fernando Ochoa, Jr., Hilbert Ochoa, Ruben Ochoa, Tony Vera, Donnie Vera, Daniel Vera, Mark Vera, and Michael Vera.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
