Maria Gonzalez Quintana, 67, of Midland was called to be home with the Lord on Saturday, May 07, 2016. A rosary will be held at 7:00pm on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.Maria was born on January 6, 1949 to Juan and Ninfa Gonzalez. She was loved because of her generous spirit and pleasant personality. Her contagious smile and charismatic ways made it very easy to make friends. Her genuine love for children was translucent. She worked for MISD and volunteered after work to take care of the children. Despite her illness, she gave us courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She enjoyed music and loved to sing.Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, Abel Quintana and wife Ginelle Quintana, daughter Veronica Garcia and husband Juan Garcia, son Tony Quintana, daughter Velinda Castillo and husband Robert Castillo. Maria was blessed with seven grandchildren, Jasmine Garcia. Victoria Garcia. Abbigael Martinez, Luis Quintana, Samantha Martinez, Valorie Quintana and Isabella Garcia; a precious great-granddaughter, Jordyn Perez; her mother Ninfa Gonzalez; sister Virginia Varela; brother's Felipe Gonzalez, Rafael Gonzalez, Rudy Gonzalez and Juan Manuel Gonzalez. She was also loved by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Sipriano Quintana; father, Juan Gonzalez; and sister, Carmela Soto.The family would like to express their gratitude towards her two caregivers that loved and took care of her, Maria Carrera and Maggie Quiroz. The family would also like to acknowledge and thank her nurse, Monica, with Angels Home Health and the continuous care and compassion from Dr. PK Patel and the 6th floor nursing staff from MMH is greatly appreciated. ,
