A 63 year old love story was released from its earthly bounds as God called two very special people home, Reginald and Marjorie Keyes. Reginald passed away on February 21, 2015. Marjorie followed him on February 28th, 2015. Reginald was born on March 20th, 1925 in O'laa, Hawaii to Alvirinos and Wilhimena Rapoza Chaves. Marjorie was born on June 16th, 1925 in San Antonio, TX to Russell Thomas and Marguerite Smith Thomas.Reginald served in the Army Air Corp during World War II, before coming to San Antonio where he met the love of his life, Marjorie. They married January 26th, 1952. Reginald graduated from Texas A &M and was an exploration geologist for over 30 years. After his retirement, he became the assistant archivist at the Petroleum museum in Midland Texas. Marjorie was a very talented artist, and had several of her paintings displayed throughout Midland over the years. However, family came first and it was the very most important thing in their lives and they loved them with everything they had. Their biggest recent happiness was welcoming great grandchildren to the world.They are survived by their daughters Micaela (Steve) Mailea and Faith (David) Gage. They are also survived by three grandchildren, Megan (Kenny) Dail, Logan (Bethany) Gage, and Christopher (Jennifer) Gage, and four great grandchildren, Katelyn Gage, Emory Gage, Kellan Dail and Will Smith. They are also survived by Wilma Roberts, their friend whose love for them was unsurpassed and made their last years so much better.A memorial service will be held at a later date.Memorials may be sent to Home Hospice in Midland.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
