Margaret McAdams Lloyd, 78, of Big Spring, died on Friday, April 26, 2002, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, April 29, 2002, at the St. Mary's Episcopal Church with Rev. Jim Liggett, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She was born on January 3, 1924 in Dallas, Texas and married Larson Lloyd, Sr. on December 31, 1960 in Dallas, Texas. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1984. Margaret attended Texas Women's University and received her Masters Degree from Abilene Christian University. She had been employed by American Airlines and was a Diagnostician for Big Spring ISD for many years. She worked as a Volunteer Coordinator at the Big Spring State Hospital and initiated the Pet Therapy Program at Canterbury. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church. She was associated with the Big Spring Garden Club. Margaret was the founder of the Big Spring and Abilene Humane Society and caring for the welfare of animals was her passion. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, had served as Executive Director in the West Texas area for the Girl Scouts of America and was one of the founders of Camp Boothe Oaks in Sweetwater. Survivors include two sons, Larson Lloyd of Horseshoe Bay and Leslie Lloyd of Midland; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Scott Emerson of Big Spring; and nine grandchildren, Adam Lloyd and Abby Lloyd of Colorado City, Tony Emerson, Alex Emerson and Nicholas Emerson of Big Spring, Lacey Lloyd of New Mexico, Dustin Lloyd, Derek Lloyd and Leah Kay Lloyd of Big Spring. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Charles R. and Margaret Elizabeth Shidell McAdams. The family suggests memorials to the Big Spring Humane Society, P. O.
