Major Dallas L. Nash (Rev), 90, of Big Spring, died on Friday, June 9, 2006, in a Lewisville nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dallas L. Nash II, his son and a missionary in Asia, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.He was born on July 17, 1915, in Louisville, Kentucky and married Joan Augusta Deaumer on March 2, 1944 in Bluefield, West Virginia.Major Nash came to Big Spring in 1967 and had taught computer technology at Abilene High School and at Howard College. He was a member of First Baptist Church and at one time served as Associate Pastor. He coordinated crusades for Billy Graham, crusades for the Baptist Convention and had served as Interim Pastor for several area churches. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a gemologist. Major Nash served in the United States Army Air Corps and the United States Air Force from 1934 – 1963 for a combined total of 26 years.Survivors include his wife, Joan Nash of Lewisville; his son, Dallas Lee "Tony" Nash II and wife, Sandi of Lantana, Texas and Xian, China; and two grandsons, Dallas Lee Nash III and wife, Amy of Lewisville and Wilson Ream Nash of San Diego, California.
