Mae Frances Thompson, 96, passed away on June 24, 2017 in Austin, Texas. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017, in the Chapel at First Presbyterian Church at 11:00 am.Mae was born on June 27, 1920 in Abilene, Texas. She attended North Texas State University. After marrying her husband, Donald Thompson, the two enjoyed travelling. They moved to Midland in the mid-1950’s and remained there until Donald’s passing in 2014. Mae then moved to Austin, Texas.Mae is survived by her daughter, Deborah Thompson, and her granddaughter, Sarah Steele.She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Thompson.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Guide Dogs for the Blind at www.guidedogs.com.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
