Mae Dell Eggemeyer Slaughter of Midkiff left this earthly life for her heavenly home February 28, 2015. She was born May 10, 1925 to Felix and Ida Braden of Olfen, Texas. On February 18, 1947 she married the love of her life, Forrest Eggemeyer, who preceded her in death in 1974. She is survived by their three children, Sheryl Wilson and husband, Sandy, Billy Eggemeyer and wife, Diane and Jim Eggemeyer and wife, Donna. Also left to cherish are her 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with two on the way. She has one living sister, Mary Ann Pelzel and husband, Calvin. She was preceded in death by her 2nd husband, Jess Slaughter, Jr. in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond, Walter, Harvey, Boots, David and Ernest; sisters, Rosalee and Christine; her grandson, Jared Eggemeyer; and a great-grandson, Sam Wilson.Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Cody Wilson, Shane Wilson, Curtis Eggemeyer, Russ Eggemeyer, Bo Eggemeyer and Riley Eggemeyer. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Lori Mettille, Lisa Winter and Tracy Merrill.Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Lawrence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 4, 2015 also at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery.As a family, we express heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Dr. P. K.
