With her loved ones near, Mabelene 'Lucy' Robertson, 77, passed away peacefully May 22, 2007. She was under the care of Home Hospice.She was born May 31, 1929 in San Saba County to Jess and Mary Whitley. Mabel was educated and raised in Goldthwaite, Texas where she was known as Lucy. She met then later married Haskell 'Hack' Robertson on January 15, 1949. They later moved to El Paso, Texas and raised three children.At the age of 19, Mabel began her life long career with the phone company, AT&T and later retired in 1987. Upon retirement, she and Hack moved to Greenwood where they raised and raced Paint Horses and spent their time enjoying their grandchildren and living in the country. She was a very generous and caring woman who cherished her family dearly. She always loved to share poems and sing childhood songs with her kids and grandkids. She will also be remembered for her love of birds and flowers.She is preceded in death by her devoted daughter Vickie Robertson Dungan, December 2, 1992. Her loving husband of 44 years Hack, May 24, 1993. Her only son, Walter Robertson, November 14, 1999. She is also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Vernon Whitley and a sister, Cloreta Dellis.She is survived by one daughter, Lana Robertson Avery and son-in-law Greg Avery of Midland. Four granddaughters; Leslie and husband Spc Tommy Johnson (currently serving in Iraq) of Killeen, Tanya and husband Chris Cole of Greenwood, Erin Dungan of California, Kelly Marcell of Denton and two grandsons; Drew Dungan of El Paso, and Garhett Avery of Midland, four great-grandchildren Mikey, Jacob, Kiley, Lainey and one more on the way; son-in-law David Dungan and wife Bridgette and daughters Sydney and Samantha of El Paso; and two sisters Daisy Watson and Lorene Huggins of Goldthwaite and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Home Hospice and a very special thanks to Ruby Sapien of Nurses Unlimited.,
