Lynn L. "Bill" Howard, 92, of Big Spring, died on Saturday, January 31, 2009, at his home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Mt. Olive Memorial Park in Big Spring, with Cherise Felty , Chaplain of Home Hospice, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 7 P.M., Monday, February 2, 2009, at the funeral home.He was born on March 1, 1916, in Denton County, Texas and came to Howard County as a child with his family. His parents were Emmett and Annie Ray Howard, a pioneer family of Howard County. He attended school and grew up in the R-Bar Community and farmed there all of his life. Bill was a Methodist. Survivors include: three sisters, Geraldine Parrish, Joyce Bradley and her husband Carl, and Delores Howard Currie, all of Big Spring; several special nieces and nephews, Nicole Bash of Dallas, Ann & Buddy Duncan of Big Spring, Fran Houser of Adrian, and Rob R. Roberts of Westfield, Massachusetts. Mr. Howard was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Howard and his wife Darlene; one sister, Maxine Howard Roberts; and two brothers-in-law, Jack Parrish and Jerry Currie. The family suggests memorials be made to Home Hospice, 111 E. 7th St., Suite A, Big Spring, TX 79720.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
