Dr. Bonner, though I cannot attend the services, please know that you, Gwen, and Greg are in my thoughts and prayers. Lucy was a special lady: Someone who never met a stranger; who always made others feel comfortable at first meeting; and a great friend to all that knew her and were fortunate enough to be able to count her as a friend.

Dr. Bonner and Greg, I was one of Mrs. Bonner's students (and a classmate of Greg) at Goliad Jr. High many years ago. She was a fine teacher, and I can remember that she enjoyed teaching and being around the unruly 8th graders who filled her classes. My prayers, thoughts and condolences are with you and your family.

I not only had the privilege of having Mrs Bonner as a teacher, but later in life as a customer at a local travel agency. She and a few other retired school teachers would take a trip each year and I made the arrangements for them. It was always such fun to talk with her and hear about the trips. Even though I don't live in Big Spring anymore, I've told so many people about Mrs Bonner and what a wonderful lady she was. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Mrs. Bonner was one of my favorite teachers. She was such a nice teacher that really enjoyed teaching Science when I was a student at Runnels Jr. High. Mrs. Bonner you left a mark in my childhood and I will always remember how much fun I had in your class.

I remember Mrs. Bonner fondly from Goliad Jr. High and church. I remember in Science class she always made it interesting . She expected the best from me, even when I didn't want to give it. I am a 4th grade teacher now and Mrs. Bonner is one of my role models. She made an impact on many lives. (our class also won in softball). My mother Averil Bradford also sends her condolences.

Dr. Bonner and Family, My heart, prayer and condolonces go out to you during this difficult time. Dr. Bonner, when you would come to Cornell you would always talk about your wife and the things the two of you did. After all those years of marriage, I could see how much you really love her. You have truly been blessed in your lifetime. Not many people are that fortunate. My prayers are with you Dr. Bonner
