Lucille Hopper, 87, of Big Spring, went to be with her Lord and family on Tuesday, December 30, 2003. Family visitation will be from 6 PM to 7 PM Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, January 3, 2004 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Sammy Simms, officiating. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery.Mrs. Hopper was born Doris Lucille Cook on September 10, 1916, in Lindale, Texas. She married William Taylor Hopper on September 16, 1933 in Big Spring.She was a long time resident of Big Spring. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church and an active member of the community. Her loyalty, compassion and competative spirit will be missed.Survivors include her son, Roy Nolan Hopper of Andersonville, Tennesee; daughter, Anna Lea Ryan of Carson, California; two brothers, Alvis Cook of Hemet, California and Jetty Cook of Hunt, Texas; three sisters, Francine Campbell of Hobbs, New Mexico, Bea Crum of Marietta, Georgia and Myrtle Dee Winkler of Long Beach, California; three grandsons, Donald Hopper and Ronald Hopper both of Andersonville, Tennesee and Daniel Ryan III of Big Spring; and two great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Taylor; daughter, Novelle; brother, Curtis; and granddaughter, Kathaleen. The family suggests memorials to: Home Hospice, 600 S.
