Lucille Fletcher, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, 93, of Sand Springs, died on Friday, November 4, 2005 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Viewing will be at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 8, 2005, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Elwin Collom, pastor of First Baptist Church of Coahoma, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.She was born on May 8, 1912 in Como, Texas and married Ed Fletcher at age 16 in Post, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1946.Lucille was a resident of Sand Springs since 1977. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Coahoma and worked in the nursery. During World War II, she participated in the war effort by welding on the warships as a riveter.She is survived by her children, Harvey Fletcher and wife, Donelle, of Rehondo Beach, California, Jerry Fletcher and wife, Adele, of Manhattan Beach, California and Barbara Salaiz and husband, Buddy, of River Bank, California; her grandchildren, Kevin Salaiz and wife, Sharon, of Hughson, California, Edward Fletcher and Suzanne Fader and husband, David, all of Livermore, Colorado; four great grandchildren; her sister, Inez West of Sand Springs and a lot of special nieces and nephews.She was also preceded in death by a beloved granddaughter, Valrie Salaiz; a sister, Jessie Ruth Francis and her parents, Harris and Bessie Gillem.In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Coahoma, 201 South Avenue, Coahoma, Texas 79511 or to the charity of your choice.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
