I'm sorry I didn't write this before the funeral but wanted to share. The first time I met Lulu was at a breakfast gang breakfast at Main Street Diner. I walked in and first thing, Lulu takes my picture. I thought, "Who is this woman?" But I soon discovered that, one, she never met a stranger (It took forever for her to leave a restaurant because she'd always stop and talk with everyone she passed) and, two, once she met you, you were in her orbit. She was a force of nature, warm, caring, generous and a dear person. I am blessed to have known her.

My heartfelt condolences to the Family. I always looked forward to seeing her as friends, grandmothers enjoying the games and having coffee. She was such a wonderful person to have met and known for years as I will cherish her great memories of our time. May she rest in peace with the Lord's Blessings.

She was a good listener, and always ready with suggestions on how to improve. A true trailblazer, doing things in the way she knew was right. Stubborn in her thoughts, knowing what to do for the best outcome. Always open to new ideas to find a better way. Sincere, as her compass was her heart. She had a true love for the improvement of people, and I know because it worked on me :-)

Lu was my observer for Texas Teachers. She was wonderful, she helped me get through my first year of teaching. When she would come in it was business for about 10 mins, then we would just sit and visit. We had such a good time. She was a dear, sweet person!!! RIP and much love Lu!!!
Judy Baker left a message on May 21, 2025:
Lu was a wonderful lady and a great neighbor and friend. She was always available to help people in her neighborhood, her family, and in her educators and church communities. She loved spending time with her granddaughter Stockton and daughter Staci... and she loved her cats. Hugs and prayers for Staci who helped Lu through her increasing health struggles during the past few years.
