Lowell D. “Pete” Stewart, 85, of Midland, died Sunday morning, July 26, 2015 at Parks Nursing Home in Odessa.Mr. Stewart was born, May 11, 1930, in Midland, Texas to Melvin and Rachel Stewart. He worked on the family farm until graduating from Midland High School in 1947. He learned the office machine business and was involved in all phases while working for West Texas Office Supply. He also served in the Texas National Guard entering the service in 1950 and had achieved the rank of sergeant upon his honorable discharge in 1956. Pete owned and operated Ector Office Equipment with stores in Midland and Odessa. He served as the District Governor of American Business Clubs and was the recipient of the National Mr. A.M.B.U.C. Award several years running.Always the entrepreneur, he also started and operated S & T Feed Lot Company and ran his own small family farming operation. Businesses often change and grow over time with new opportunities and adventures Pete became a manufacturers’ rep selling office machines and earned the distinction of Top National Sales Rep two years in succession. Pete retired from the office machine business in 1986 and began a new chapter in his life in the construction and real estate business in New Mexico; buying, remodeling and selling properties until a second retirement in 1997.Pete met his wife, Wanda Ruth Segelquist, in Goldthwaite, Texas and they were married on October 18, 1952.He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Wanda Stewart of Midland; daughter, Cindy Allen and her husband, John, of Wheelock, TX; son, Vic Stewart and his wife, Deva, of Midland, TX; four grandchildren, Jonathan Allen and his wife, Amanda, of Waco, TX, Rick Stewart of New Braunfels, TX, Meghan Pimentel and her husband, Anthony, of Rapid City, SD, and Ryan Stewart of Midland, TX; three great-grandchildren, Chase Pimentel of Rapid City, SD, Cadence and Pierce Allen of Waco, TX.Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Resthaven Memorial Park with the Reverend Christopher Hagger officiating.Honorary Pallbearers will be Jonathan H. Allen, Jr., Jonathan H. Allen III, Patrick Scott Stewart, Ryan Douglas Stewart, Anthony E.
