LouAnn "Nana" Adkins Badgett, 68, of Andrews, formerly of Midland and Stanton, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2009, in the Hospice Inpatient Unit at Midland Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, August 7, 2009 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Alamo Heights Baptist Church in Midland with James Sain, officiating and Gary Redwine, assisting. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton.LouAnn was born March 23, 1941, in Duncan, Oklahoma to Leo and Richard Adkins. She graduated from Stanton High School. She married Loie Badgett on December 12, 1958 in Lomax. LouAnn and Loie celebrated 50 years of marriage in December 2008. Her favorite pastimes were being with family and sewing with the girls. She enjoyed collecting donkeys and angels. She was a member at Alamo Heights Baptist Church.Survivors include husband, Loie Badgett of Andrews; children, Tami and Clint Yonts of Midland, Kelli and Kevin Wink of Greenwood and Keith and Cindi Badgett of Andrews; grandchildren, Chris and Amy Yonts, Kylie and Korli Yonts, Joshua and Jami Hastings, Sara and Chris Hays, Baley and Trevor Badgett; great-grandchildren, Rylie and Rowdy Hays and Casen and Kenzie Yonts; mother, Leo Adkins; sister, LaRue Yates and husband, Ken; mother-in-law, Averill Badgett; and a whole slew of nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Adkins, father-in-law, Hester Badgett and her poodle she loved so, Shelby.Memorials can be made to Hospice of Midland, PO Box 2621, Midland, TX 79702.
