Painter, Lorraine Jo Hanna, 76, of San Angelo, formerly of Big Spring, died on Saturday, November 25, 2000, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 28, 2000, at Trinity Memorial Park with Rev. Ben Hubert, pastor of First Christian Church of San Angelo and Rev. Karen Schmeltekopf, associate pastor of First Christian Church of San Angelo, officiating. She was born on August 26, 1924 in Nuttly, New Jersey to Charles and Emma Ruoff and married Jeff Painter on June 18, 1944 in Nuttly, New Jersey. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1976. She was a resident of Big Spring for 54 years and moved to San Angelo in 1995. Mrs. Painter was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Darrell Herrington of San Angelo; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Roman. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
