Loretta Lyon, 85 of Midland, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Midland Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel followed by private graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Loretta was born in Aubrey located in Denton County, TX to Fannie and Lando Grimes. She grew up in Comanche, Texas and moved to Midland in the 1957. Loretta married her husband and enjoyed 62 wonderful years of marriage. She is survived by her husband Robert Lyon, son Michael and wife Brandy, honorary son Rick, and grandchildren Megan, Zachary and wife Elisa, Zane, and Rachel. Loretta is preceded in death by both parents and all siblings.
The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to her many loving caregivers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in any denomination.
