Loran Warren, Jr., 59, of Big Spring, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 5th, 2012 after a courageous four year battle with cancer. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Jay Warren, officiating.Loran was born November 19, 1952 in Big Spring to Dr. Loran and Wanda Warren. He graduated salutatorian from the Art Institute in Dallas with a degree in music and film production. He was a bass guitarist in Austin in the mid to late seventies then returned to Big Spring to be near his family. He was owner of Warren Refrigeration and Plumbing and worked for several West Texas television stations in production and as a cameraman. He was a member of the Baptist faith where he was baptized at age 10.He loved his family, music and the outdoors.Loran is survived by one daughter, Callie Partlow and husband, Treavor of Big Spring; five loved grandchildren, Hollie, Tayler, and Tyson Hooser all of Dallas, and Cooper and Taylor Partlow both of Big Spring; a brother, Dr. Jay Warren and wife, Beverly and his nephews, Jay Jay and John John Warren all of Valencia, California.Loran was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Ben.Because of Loran's love for the Boy Scouts and music, the family suggests memorials be made to the Buffalo Trail Council of the Boy Scouts, 1101 West Texas Avenue, Midland, TX 79701 or to local school music programs.This loving son, dad, granddad and brother will be deeply missed.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
