Lora Mae Pollard, 90, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in Lubbock. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 at The First United Methodist Church in Big Spring.Lora Mae was born on May 13, 1925 in Slaton, Texas to Richard Hugh and Hattie Henson Broadwell. She married William J. “Bill “ Pollard on August 10, 1957 in Roscoe, Texas.She graduated from Roscoe High School and later attended Texas Tech University. She was a bookkeeper at their first car dealership in Roscoe, Texas and later held the same position at Pollard Chevrolet in Big Spring.Lora Mae was very active in the community, serving on many boards and participating in numerous organizations. She loved her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling all over the world and especially enjoyed traveling with her husband.Lora Mae is survived by her husband, William J. “Bill “ Pollard of Big Spring, son William E. Pollard and wife, Kim of Big Spring ; daughter Kay Lynn Maynard and husband, Bryan of San Antonio and grandchildren; Austin Maynard of Lubbock, Ryan Pollard and Erin Pollard of Big Spring and many beloved nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, R.E.
