Lois G. Johnston, 84, of Big Spring, died on Monday, October 11, 2004, in a Midland hospital. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 PM Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Dennis Teeters, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.She was born on September 6, 1920, in Reisel, Texas and married Dalton D. "D.D." Johnston on December 8, 1940 in Rankin.Lois was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church, a member of Quester's Sunday School Class and Triple L. She had served as church librarian at Baptist Temple and First Baptist Church and had taught children's Sunday school classes for over twenty-five years at Baptist Temple and First Baptist Church. Lois was a member of the Eager Beaver Sewing Club and the Home Demonstration Club. She was active in the Western Drifters Trailer Club and loved travelling to new and different places and playing dominoes.Survivors include her husband, Dalton D. "D.D." Johnston of Big Spring; her son and daughter-in-law, James D. and Sharon Johnston of Big Spring; six grandchildren, Linnea and husband, Anthony Faulk of Austin, Stefan and wife, Tracy Balderach of New York, New York, Janet Johnston of Pasadena, California, Mikael Balderach of Austin, Jeffrey Johnston of San Antonio and Markus Balderach of Dallas and one brother, Billy Don Ingram of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Berry Ingram, Jr. and Martin Ingram.
