Lisa Faye Pearson was born on September 6, 1975, in Lawton, Oklahoma, and raised in Big Spring, Texas. A true force of nature, Lisa brought light, laughter, and love to everyone who had the joy of knowing her. Married for 30 beautiful years to her best friend and love of her life, Jon Pearson, together they built a strong and loving family, raising two incredible children, Ryan and Ashtyn.
While being a devoted wife and mother, Lisa also pursued her passion for beauty and creativity, earning her cosmetology degree from Howard College. This was the launchpad that led her to become one of the most influential and sought-after hairstylists in the local area. Her chair wasn’t just a place for haircuts — it was a place for conversation, comfort, and connection. Lisa looked forward to her monthly Wine Wednesday group known for fun, laughter, and a few glasses of wine.
Lisa’s life found new meaning and deeper joy when she became a grandmother — setting the tone for this relationship, she chose to be known as “Fun.” Her grandchildren — Cameron (Cam Bam), Elizabeth (Lizzie), and newborn Bennett —were the stars in her eyes and couldn’t wait to go to “Fun’s House”. She created magical memories for them with baking sessions, movie nights, fishing trips, and endless love. She looked forward to meeting Jax, due in September, with the same excitement and tenderness she gave so freely to all.
Lisa lived with passion, always in full color, always out loud. She greeted the world with a smile and met every person with a heart as big as Texas. She never turned away from someone in need, and never missed an opportunity to offer a prayer, a hug, or a helping hand. Her faith in Christ wasn’t something she just spoke of — it was how she lived every day. She led by example and showed God’s love through her kindness and strength.
We rejoice in knowing Lisa is now at peace in the arms of our Lord, reunited with her beloved grandparents Smokey and Fannie Kinman, her cherished fur baby, Sasha Nicole, paternal grandfather Joseph Wallis (Papa Joe), nephew Cameron Pierce, mother-in-law Elizabeth Pearson and father-in-law Levi Pearson.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Jon Pearson of Big Spring; her children, Ryan Pearson (Taylor) of Big Spring, and Ashtyn Ponce (Cory) of Midland; her grandchildren, Cameron, Elizabeth, Joseph Bennett, and Jonathan Jax. She is also survived by her parents, Effie Shults (Mike) of Big Spring, and Steven Wallis (Vickie) of Big Spring; siblings, Leslie Chappell (Billy) of Midland, Jamie Boudreau (James) of Norman, Oklahoma, Stephen Wallis (Mary), Brandon Wallis (Melinda) and grandmother Kay Wallis all of Big Spring.
Lisa leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who are truly family. Lisa believed with all her heart that time spent with family is worth every second as displayed on the wall of their home.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Lisa’s memory to the Howard College Cosmetology Department Scholarship Fund.
