Lisa A. Trubnikova has now arrived into the loving arms of the Father. She passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.Lisa was born in Midland, Texas on March 13, 1983 to her adoring parents, Luis R. Berlanga and Virginia Berlanga. Lisa was born and raised in Midland, Texas and graduated from Midland High School in 2001. She attended Midland College then moved to Houston in 2003, where she attended the University of Houston. In the summer of 2008, Lisa, looking for new direction in her life, decided to join the United States Coast Guard and left for boot camp at Cape May, New Jersey. She honorably served at the following units throughout her career; Aids to Navigation Team in New Orleans, Louisiana, Electronic Support Detachment in Kodiak, Alaska, Electronic Support Detachment in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Lisa was an Information Systems Technician. Lisa's Awards and Meritorious Achievements were Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Awarding Magnificent ITs Giving Overwhelming Support, and countless hours of Humanitarian Services. She received two Coast Guard Good Conduct Medals and was Sailor of the Quarter while in New Orleans, as well as runner up in Cape Cod, MA. In 2011 in Petaluma, California while attending U.S. Coast Guard A-School, Lisa met and fell in love with Anna Trubnikova. They were married on December 30, 2011 in New York. Lisa is survived by her spouse, Anna Trubnikova; her parents; her sister, Lori A. Ruiz and husband David; her brothers, Luis V. Berlanga and wife, Stephanie, and Levi A. Berlanga and wife Christal; and by her adoring nieces and nephews, Luis J. Berlanga (Sus), Kalisty Berlanga, Lexi Berlanga, Vicente, Berlanga, Levi A. Berlanga, Steven J. Berlanga, Maria Christal Berlanga, and Carlos Berlanga.Lisa is also survived by her grandmothers, Maria V. Torres and Hipolita Berlanga Alonso; her aunts and uncles, Abel V. Torres (Dahlia), Valentin V. Torres (Theresa), Noemi Peralta (Jorge), and Tavita Mendoza (Joe), Veronica Lopez (Alonzo), and Martha Gutierrez (Marcos); her cousins, Abel J. Torres, Joanna Mendoza, Joe Luis Mendoza, Angelina Nino, Joe Angel Mendoza, Tommy Mendoza, Sandra Jurado, Joshua Taylor, Christopher Taylor, Cynthia Berlanga, Alonso Berlanga, Julie Lopez, Roxanna Lopez, Marcos Gutierrez, Brisa Gutierrez, Christina Lopez, and Betty Solis; and many more loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a long list of friends, all of whom she loved dearly.Lisa was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Reverend Valentin B. Torres; her paternal grandfather, Jesus Berlanga Medrano; her cousin, Rose Marie Torres; and her uncle, Juan Jesus Berlanga.Lisa was an amazing person who knew how to love unconditionally and did so as is manifested by the many heartbroken family and friends who have supported us and grieve with us through this tragic time. As we struggle with the great loss of no longer having her here on Earth, we are truly comforted to know that though she always lived a wonderful, happy life; the last few years of her life were her happiest and for that we are overjoyed.A service is planned for Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with internment to follow. -Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland and the United States Coast Guard with full military honors. ,
