Linda Kay Robinett of Midland, Texas, entered into Eternal Life with her Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, July 3, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a beloved great granny, granny, mother, and wife during her incredible 74 years of life.
Services will be at 10:00 am Monday, July 10, 2023, at Elevate Church, 200 Baldwin Street in Midland. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Linda was born in Bentonville, Arkansas, on May 1, 1949. She was one of three daughters and a son born to the late Vernon and Gwen Jernigan. Linda graduated from Roswell High School in 1969 and attended Lee High School briefly, where she met the love of her life, Donald Wayne Robinett. They were married on July 11, 1969, at Wilshire Park Baptist Church in Midland, Texas. Together, they were blessed with two wonderful children, Michelle Covarrubias of Midland, Texas, and Michael Robinett of Greenwood, Texas.
Linda was a committed follower of Jesus Christ and faithfully attended Midland Christian fellowship/Elevate Church for over 30 years. She had a servant’s heart and served in various ministries through the decades, including teaching Sunday school, choir, food ministries, feeding the homeless, media, and even a mission trip to Mexico. She loved Jesus and helped lead family and friends to Jesus, even if she never realized it.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Gwen Jernigan, and her brother Pat Jernigan.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Don Robinett; daughter, Michelle Covarrubias; son-in-law, Sam Covarrubias of Midland, Texas; son Michael Robinett, daughter-in-law, Laura Robinett of Greenwood, Texas; (10) Grandchildren, Monica, Krista, Warren, Lexi, Makayla, Marissa, Malayna, Sammy, Caleb and Karlee and (11) Great-Grandchildren; sisters, Verna Long and Rosie Jernigan.
Linda was a God-fearing woman and an incredibly strong woman. She left a legacy to her family of God’s amazing love and grace. To her grandchildren, Linda leaves her unwavering faith in God. She leaves her kindness, strength, stubbornness, and love to her daughter and son. To her husband, she leaves her undying love, unfathomable gratitude, and their two beautiful children who love him more than words can ever describe.
