Linda Agan, age 82, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026 at 4:12pm at Midland Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 6, 2026 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland.
Linda was born on February 6, 1943 as Linda Louise Massingill in Summersville, Missouri. Her parents died and Linda at age 5 was adopted from Missouri Baptist Children’s Home in St. Louis by Troy and Audie Dillard from Wheaton, Missouri. They later moved to Bartlesville, where she spent her growing up years and graduated from College Height High School. Linda married and moved to San Francisco, California, then to Grand Prairie, Texas and worked for Miller Brewing Company. Later she worked at Cities Service and Oxy USA. Linda was transferred to Midland, Texas with Oxy USA in 1989, where she met and married her husband.
Linda is survived by husband Joe Agan, brother Don Dillard, daughter Tami Reed, stepchildren Mark Agan, Michael Agan and Melissa Agan.
Linda was an encouragement to all, had a quiet unassuming character. She was a gracious, compassionate person, always ready to help anyone in need. She loved cooking, crafts, sewing, painting, scrap booking, photo developing, and card making. Linda was also an accomplished square and round dancer. She made all her square dance dresses and some for other square dancers. She loved cooking and trying new and delicious meals. She was a member of a clogging group in Tulsa named “Something Special”. Her favorite charities were St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Wounded Warrior Project.
Illness and surgeries began to take their toll on Linda in 1996 with a brain aneurysm. She had eye surgery, knee replacement, broken hip repair, bouts with covid, and three hospital stays with pneumonia. These were too much for her weakened and frail body to manage. Linda was ready to have relief from her constant pain and suffering. She was a Christian and accepted Christ as her Savior, reaffirming this belief again during her recent illness.
Linda was a lovely person and will be immensely missed.
Dear Linda, rest in peace and one day you will be joined by loved ones you have left behind. Amen.
