Linda Mae (Lawson) Scarpelli was surrounded by her family when she left this world to enter into eternal peace with our heavenly Father on February 7, 2021.
Born on January 19, 1942 in Oklahoma City, OK to Herman and Marie Lawson, Linda settled in Midland, Texas and was dedicated to raising her four daughters while also excelling in her career in Accounting at multiple oil & gas companies, including Coquina Oil, Mid-America and ARCO. As a hard-working and valued contributor, she received several awards throughout her career as an outstanding employee. This work ethic extended beyond her career and was pervasive throughout her life. Whatever Linda set her mind to, she accomplished. Linda retired in 1995 to fully enjoy what soon became a very large extended family that included 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Throughout her life Linda put Faith and Family first, demonstrating Christian values that set an example for her family to follow. Known as “Mother” by all generations, she loved hosting large family gatherings, and creating Easter and Christmas traditions and memories that will be forever cherished. In addition to her family gatherings, Linda loved dancing, shopping, playing bridge and traveling.
Linda is survived by her four daughters: Sharon (John) Glidwell, Vicky (Thurman) Ragsdale, Cindy (Steve) Cumings, Amy (Scott) Braley, 11 grandchildren: Kristin (Danny) Ferri, Daniel McBeath, James Glidwell, Laura Glidwell, Chad (Krystal) Glidwell, Tara (Jake) Dodds, Madison Cumings, Shelby Cumings, Avery Braley, Logan Braley, Blake Braley, Son-in-love Billy Wayne Busbee, Great Grandchildren; Rylee, Emalynn, Hunter, Cannon, Catie, Crockett, Kaitlyn, Brooklyn, and Dillon, her loving companion John Cox, Sandy, her sweet and sassy dachshund, her sisters Nancy and Debbie and families.
