Linda Foster Schraeder, 61, of Midland, died on Saturday, June 20, 2009, at the Inpatient Unit at Midland Memorial Hospital following a lenghty illness. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Monsignor Larry Droll, officiating. Surely she was proud & smiling to see her whole family gathered there to honor her, & you all did just that. I will always remember her smile. As you all know, now comes the tough part. I first knew Linda when she taught English at Garden City High School. She also helped me work through a text on trigonometry, a course not offered at Garden City at that time. As far as I know, this was the first year that she joined the Garden City/St Lawrence community. Even though she was only a few years older than her students, I remember her passion for teaching.
