Lily Farrington, 74, of Big Spring, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 25, 2020, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with her nephew, Rev. Ricky Carstensen, officiating.She was born May 18, 1946, in Big Spring and married Connie Ray Farrington July 10, 1963, in Stanton.Lilly and Connie spent the early years of their marriage in Lenorah working for Tunnel Farms. She worked as a bus driver for Klondike Schools and for Grady Schools. She had a love for competitions and was a great volleyball player. She spent her time with friends in friendly competitions at the school gym. If you didn't find her on the farm or the volleyball court, you could bet you would find her with a fishing pole lake side waiting for the next big catch. She loved anything outdoors and spending time with her family.In 1993 Connie retired from the farming industry and they moved to Big Spring, Texas. She became a member of the Miracle Revival Center in Big Spring. She loved to sing along and participate in the church services. Lily and Connie created their own Lawn Business which he still operates today, Farrington Lawn & Garden.Survivors include her husband, Connie Ray Farrington of Big Spring; one son, Tarry Farrington and wife Dyanne of Stanton; one daughter, Rhonda Dugan and husband Danny of Stanton. Four grandsons; Cary Farrington of Midland, Tyler Farrington and wife Rachel of Stanton, DJ Dugan and wife Ashley of Ft. Worth and Cooper Millsap of Midland. Six Granddaughters, Stormie Dugan and Cheyenne of Big Spring, Linsey Dugan of Ft. Worth, Laci Dugan of Stanton, Hailey Thomas and husband Josh of Odessa, Carlee Millsap of Midland and Joeli Huddleston and Husband Heath of Midland, Texas. Two sisters, Myrtle Sparks of Lingleville, Texas, Nellie Vandenbiggelarr of Sanger, Texas ; and one brother, Pat Carstensen of Stanton, Texas and 16 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Naoma Carstensen; brothers Andy, Tommy, Freddie, Arthur and Kent Carstensen. One sister Ruby McCarty.The family will receive visitors on Friday, July 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Nailey-Pickle & Welch funeral home. They suggest memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
