Lillie Gandy, 72, of Burleson, formerly of Big Spring, died on Saturday, October 18, 2003, at Harris Methodist Southwest Hospital, Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, October 23, 2003 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Steve King, pastor of Birdwell Lane Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.Miss Gandy was born on September 18, 1931 in Howard County and lived in Big Spring until moving to Burleson in May 1996. Lillie retired after working 41 years at the State National Bank of Big Spring. She was a member of Birdwell Lane Baptist Church. Survivors include one sister, Mary Herring of Burleson; one niece, Kerrie Sutton of Burleson; two nephews, Colby Herring of The Dalles, Oregon and Guy Herring of Shelton, Washington; one great niece and two great nephews.The family suggests memorials to the Birdwell Lane Baptist Church, 1512 Birdwell Lane, Big Spring, Texas 79720.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
