Lillian White

Lillian White, 101, of Denver City, formerly of Stanton, passed from this life Sunday, March 19, 2017. Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel in Stanton with Rev. David Harp officiating. Mrs. White was born February 16, 1916 in Miami, Oklahoma to Levi P. and Emma Bridgett. She graduated from Miami High School and attended business college in Dunkirk, New York. She married Robert White March 16, 1946 in Parsons, Kansas. She served as secretary for the First Baptist Church in Stanton until her retirement. Mrs. White worked with the Mother's Day Out program at the church after her retirement and touched the lives of many young children during her work with this program. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Randy Casey of Denver City; and a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund of First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1168, Stanton, Texas 79782 or the Yoakum County Hospital Auxiliary (Pink Pantry), 400 N.
