Juanita Campbell Nichols Lillian Juanita Nichols, 96, passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, May 18th at Crestview Baptist Church at 11:00 am. Private interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 17th from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Juanita was born January 3, 1917, near Italy, Texas, in Ellis County to Lillie Belle and Robert Lee Campbell. She married Oran Nichols on October 13, 1934, in Big Spring, Texas, and they shared the joy of raising four girls and three boys. They moved to Midland in 1944, and she worked for many years at F. W. Woolworth Company. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church for over 50 years and a member of the Gideon's women's auxiliary during the years Oran was active in Gideon's International.Juanita will always be remembered by her family for her uplifting letters of encouragement and for her love for Christ. She is survived by three sons: Don R. Nichols of Midland, (retired from Sharp Drilling Company) and his wife Barbara; John Nichols, of Midland (Executive Vice President- ICA of Odessa) and his wife Becky; and Kenneth Nichols of Dallas, (owner of J. J. McGlothlin Distributors) and his wife, Angie. Mrs. Juanita Nichols is also survived by three daughters: Doris Witten of Olton, Edith Orozco of Midland, Yvonne (Nicky) Lobner and husband Roy of Edinburg, Texas; and by two sisters, Emogene Davis of Tucson, Arizona, and Gwen Vaughn of Center Point, Texas; a niece, Nancy Lee Banfield of Estero, Florida; thirteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews who were dearly loved by her.Her family wants to express their appreciation to her special caregivers, Heidi Chen and Jana Cook, for their sweet service of love. Her parents, her husband, a daughter, Bobbie Nagle, and brothers, Robert Lee Campbell, Jr. and John Hall Campbell, preceded her in death.
