Lillian Inez Brantley, of Stanton, passed from this life to join her Heavenly Father October 3, 2013. She was born September 23, 1924 in Wills Point and attended school in Holliday, where she participated in sports and many activities. She loved high school so much that she continued for another semester even after graduating.Lillian married Harold Brantley of Woodson, May 27, 1944 in Holliday and raised her two children in Holliday, Odessa and Stanton. Although she occasionally worked outside the home, her true calling was as a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Known only as \Granny\, she was a great spoiler of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a self-described \people person\ and made and enjoyed many friends throughout her life. She was an active member of the Church of Christ.Lillian was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, Harold; one son, Dennis Allen Brantley; two sisters, Laverne Reed of Monahans and Nita Loyd of Holliday; and her parents, Lee Wannamaker and Edna Allen of Holliday.She leaves behind one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Sherry (Boone) Brantley of Blackwell Oak Creek Lake; three grandchildren, Dustin Brantley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Keri Jo Botch and husband, Brian of Bedford and Christopher Allen Brantley and wife, Lacey of Midland; and three great-grandchildren, Chase Allen Brantley and Parker Matthew Brantley of Midland and Benjamin Patrick Botch of Bedford.The family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to the staff and caretakers of Bronte Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bronte for their loving care and compassion.Graveside funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, October 7, 2013 at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel in Stanton.The family suggests memorials to Belvue Church of Christ, P.
