Lidora Merrill Dickey Duncan, 81, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, June 17, 2004, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, June 18, 2004 at the Berea Baptist Church, Big Spring, with Rev. Dwayne Wheat, pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday at Berea Baptist Church prior to the service. Graveside services will be at Macon County Memorial Park, Decatur, Illinois.She was born on December 15, 1922, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois to Charles and Lillie Ehrhart. She married Henry Dickey on February 2, 1941 in Southern Illinois and he preceded her in death on April 23, 1991. She then married Royal Tucker Duncan on April 17, 1994 in Big Spring.Lidora had worked at the General Electric Corporation in Decatur, Illinois as an assembler. She came to Big Spring in 1979 from Decatur and had worked at Capehart Homes. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband, Royal Tucker Duncan of Big Spring; three daughters and sons-in-law, Gwen and Arnie Collins of Big Spring, Karen and John Verhusen of Mt. Zion, Illinois and Rhonda and Mike Tyson of Riverton, Illinois; one son, Ronald Dickey of Deactur, Illinois; one step daughter and her husband, Martha and Autrey Moore of Big Spring; one step son, Royal T. Duncan, Jr. of Abilene; one step son-in-law, Kenneth Scott of Big Spring; two sisters, Gladys Bear of Decatur, Illinois and Mary Belle Gaddis of Odessa; eight grandchildren; many step grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by one son, Douglas Dickey; one grandson, Curtis Collins; one great grandson, Dougie Williams; one step daughter, Mary Elizabeth Scott; four sisters and four brothers.The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Association of Texas, P.
