Margaret Jo and Billy, I was so inspired by your mom as my 4th grade teacher and my daughter was so very lucky to have had your mom also. Your mom was a very special lady and very much a lady as well as beautiful. I will always remember when Ruth, Bobbie, Jo Ann and Emma were going to my dad's (Rufus Fowler) for line dancing lessons and got pulled over by the DPS. Bobbie (driving) explained they were late to line dancing lessons at Rufus's and needless to say the officer let them go and I'm sure was chuckling the entire time. I'll always have a place in my heart for your mom as she was a dandy and will be greatly missed, yet always remembered.

There aren't enough adjectives or verbs to describe Mrs. Cook. She was truly "one of a kind". Won't be another one made like her on this earth. The number of lives she touched & influenced would fill the most massive building ever built. Heaven just became an even better place to strive for because Mrs. Cook is there for sure. Plan on seeing her there someday. What a teaching & living legacy she has left for all of us. We'll miss you but know that you are only a thought away, at any time.

What a wonderful teacher Mrs. Cook was! I remember that she always had the best art projects. My mother still has some of the things we made in Mrs. Cook's fourth grade classroom out of plaster of Paris. Mrs. Cook will be greatly missed on Earth, but I know that in heaven she will be creating the greatest art of all! Condolences to all of her family. I know you will miss her.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

We offer our sympathy in the loss of Ruth. She was a grand and gracious Lady. We worked with her as she taught each of our six children in the fourth grade and we enjoyed her company at the Senior Citizen's gatherings as we played 88, a game of dominoes. What fun. We loved her so much. Love & Prayers to you all Lester & Mary Lou

Ruth was such a GREAT Inspiration to me when we moved to Garden City. At age 90 she rec'd a computer for her Birthday and ask me to teach her how to use it. As I begin teaching her she learned very well and before long she was sending emails, writting letters and doing her address book. She had such and sweet and Godly spirit, and I just love to visit with her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. Greg and Donna Donica- New Braunfels, TX

What can you say about a woman of her stature? What an example to us all. She taught my Dad, Norman Christie and he is 83 yrs. young and she taught Steven and me and our Daughter, Christie. I can still remember part of a poem that her Mother had written about the "Big Dipper". She taught us to write legible, whereas some others could definately have learned from her. I'm so glad that she was part of all of our lives. I wish her peace and happiness in the arms of our Lord and Savior. Love, Steven and Millie Hirt
