Leta Mae Denny, 77, of Midland passed away on April 2, 2009 at Midland Memorial Hospital. A memorial service has been set for 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 1300 W. Louisiana, with Rev. Paula Brooks and Dr. Robert Bell, officiating. She was born in Rushville, Missouri on March 18, 1932 to Evelyn and E.C. Burdette. On August 24, 1952, she married Leo "Mick" Denny in Atchison, Kansas. Leta and Leo moved to Midland in 1958 where she was a member of the Permian Basin Board of Realtors and the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Survivors include her husband, Leo "Mick" Denny of Midland; three sons, Kevin Denny and wife Pam of Granbury, Mike Denny of San Antonio and Mark Denny of Plano; six grandchildren, Jennifer Borchardt and husband Nathan of Ft. Worth, Paula Kent and husband Cody of Lewisville, Nolan Denny of Plano, Jack Denny of Plano, Brenden Denny of San Antonio, Brena Denny of San Antonio; one great-grandchild, Bruce Kent of Lewisville; brother, Eddie Burdette and wife Mary of Great Falls, MT; sister-in-law Shirley Dunster of Ponca City, OK; numerous nieces and nephews.
