Lester Dean Pierce

Lester Dean Pierce, 90, of Midland, TX. passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 25, 2024. Dean Pierce was born to Lester and Cecil Pierce on May 11, 1934. He married the love of his life, Cheri Brinton, on December 24, 1966, and adopted a son on May 12, 1971.

Dean’s life was full of ups and downs, rejoicing in the good times and showing strength during bad times. He was a hard-working man that always provided for his family no matter the circumstances, that was his job, making his family feel safe and loved. He led a humble, yet full and fruitful life, content with being around family and friends talking about anything and everything. He could talk with a total stranger for 20 minutes. Dean was kind, fun and always looking at the positives in life, no matter what roadblocks life put in front of him. He enjoyed the simple things, crossword puzzles, playing card games at his beloved senior center, putting puzzles together, telling bad jokes and traveling to visit family and friends.

Dean was a loving dad, husband, grandpa and Papa Dean. He will always be in our hearts, on our minds, and part of our being, until the time it is our turn to depart this world.

Dean is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Cecil Pierce and his wife, Cheri Pierce. He is survived by his twin sister, Donna Ostrem, his son, Scott Pierce, daughter-in-law, Donna Pierce, grandchildren, Crystal Stanton and her husband, Robert Stanton, Kayla Pierce and Jonathan Pierce and his wife Megan Pierce and his one special great grandchild, Zoe.

A donation to the West Texas Food Bank in Dean’s name is a fitting way to celebrate his life.
