Dear Barbara, Brenda & Karen, I am so sorry to hear of your loss, but I know you have the hope of being reunited for eternity. I had hoped to come to the funeral, but my schedule won't permit. I remember Sonny as a very kind, gentle man who loved his family. I know that love & memories will sustain you, as God brings comfort during this time. You are in my prayers, Sandra (Tull) Marberry

Babara and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember, vividly, singing with Leslie at the Saner Avenue church of Christ. Also, Leslie was the most popular boy at church because he had a car or at least access to a car and was so good to take us girls and sometimes guys, anywhere we wanted to go. We would go out to Kiest Park and find lovers, Leslie would shine his headlights on them and then we would race off before we got caught but it was all in fun. May God richly bless all of you during this time of grief and loss! Billie Jean (Conway, Atkinson) Baker
Ken, Kathryn, and Katelyn Rasure left a message on November 30, -0001:
I'll miss my uncle Sonny. When I was young, he taught me how to build a crystal radio. He built a CB radio and we went to a hill overlooking a freeway and listened to the truckers and talked, just the two of us. He took me on my first fishing trip. He always took the time to listen to me back when it seemed nobody else did. He was a good man.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I can still remember fishing as a young child in the pond behind Grandma & Papa Long's and Sonny & Barbara's house... I think the first fish I ever officially caught was out of that pond. I am sorry for your loss. -Chris
